Margao: Stating that the BJP-supported panel will sweep the Fatroda seats in Margao Municipal polls, former MLA and BJP general Secretary Damodar Naik (Damu) said that he has corredted his past mistakes.
“We are ready for the municipality elections. This time we will win majority seats in Fatorda,” says Damu Naik.
Further Damu accused said Goa Forward president Vijai Sardesai of fooling the voters by giving false promises.
“This time Vijai is using religious sentiments but the voters of Fatorda are aware and learnt Vijai’s false tactics. Coming municipality elections voters will show him the right place,” he said.
He also accused Vijai of luring the voters with money power.
When Goemkarponn asked about his manifesto, Damu said unemployment is big issue in Fatorda.
“In last 10 years Vijai failed to give jobs to voters. Sonsodo will be also the main issue which Vijai failed to resolve while enjoying the chair of minister and Deputy CM of Goa,” he said.
When pointed out that his panel was badly defeated in last election Damu said “we have corrected our mistakes and tried to improvise. Large number of minorities have started extending their support to BJP”.
