PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant indirectly hitting at Rahul Gandhi said that One “Sahibjada” has woken up now and wants to become the Prime Minister of India.
“One “sahibjada” has woken up now and wants to become the Prime Minister, but keep this in writing, he will never become the PM. For the next 50 years in Goa as well as the country,” said CM Sawant
He further said that for the next 50 years in Goa as well as the country, only the BJP will rule.
“Rahul Gandhi’s great grandfather, grandfather, father and his mummy were the Prime Minister of the country but even after that so many villages are without water, roads, electricity, toilets,” he added.
CM Sawant said that all these things were made possible only after Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power.
“During the last 10 years, the central government has given more than what it could have given by granting Special Status to Goa. In my view the State has got special treatment from the Centre,” he added.
Sawant also said that after what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said I do not think anything is left. It is a special treatment from the central government to a small State like Goa.
“Whatever assistance was needed for Swayampurna Goem’s implementation—which is modelled after Atmanirbhar Bharat—we got from the Center,” CM added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister stated that this Lok Sabha election is about the nation and its priorities.
“Recently, stating that Goa needs a Special Status to protect its land for future generations, Congress’ South Goa Lok Sabha candidate Capt Viriato Fernandes had urged Ponda voters not to fall prey to the false propaganda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant,” he added.
