Panaji: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers across the country on the occasion of party’s 41st foundation day on April 6
To mark the foundation day, the Goa BJP unit has also organized various programmes across the State till April 14.
Keeping the Covid-19 pandemic in mind, the BJP Karyakartas will be asked to make people aware about nationwide vaccination drive and how important it is to get inoculated.
Addressing a press conference in party head office, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the party workers will take the opportunity to create maximum awareness to encourage eligible people to get them vaccinated and to follow COVID norms like wearing of mask, social distancing, etc. He said that party workers will also distribute masks to the people.
Tanavade said that Modi and BJP president JP Nadda will address the party workers across the country on the occasion of its foundation day on April 6. The screening would be done across 19 places including Panaji, Bicholim, Mandrem, Thivim, Mayem, Mapusa, Porvorim, Shiolim, Sat Cruz, Sankhalim, Valpoi, Shiroda, Mormugao, Margao, Navelim < Quepem, Canacona, etc.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was founded in 1980 by the leaders of the erstwhile Jana Sangh, which had merged in 1977 with the Janata Party — an amalgam of several anti-Congress parties.
Apart from creating awareness on COVID-19, to mark the foundation day, BJP workers will organise discussion sessions on the philosophy, culture and policies of the party at all polling booths across the country.
Tanavade said that BJP leaders including MLAs, office bearers, workers will hoist party flags atop of their houses.
An organizing committee under Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte has been formed to hold various programmes to mark the foundation week.
