MANDOPA: Margao Town Police have registered a case against unidentified persons for allegedly organising an illegal bull fight at Mandopa near Martins Place in Navelim, Salcete, on July 30.
According to the police, the offence was registered based on a complaint lodged by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Umesh Gaude of Margao Town Police Station on behalf of the State.
Police said that on July 30 at around 6 pm, unidentified persons allegedly organised an illegal bull fight at Mandopa, near Martins Place, Navelim, and subjected the bulls to cruelty.
A case has been registered at Margao Town Police Station under Crime No. 83/2026 under Section 11(1)(m) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. Further investigation is in progress.
