PANAJI: A case of alleged drugging and robbery has been registered at Panaji Police Station following a complaint by a 30-year-old businessman from Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
As per the complaint, the incident took place on April 8, 2026, at a hotel in Panaji where the accused woman, identified as Roopashree C from Bengaluru, reportedly befriended the complainant and convinced him to book a room. She is alleged to have forcibly made him consume alcohol, after which he lost consciousness.
Police said the accused then fled with valuables including a gold kada weighing around 40.50 grams, a gold chain of approximately 50 grams, and cash amounting to Rs 2.40 lakh. The total loss is estimated to be over Rs 15 lakh.
An offence has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Nitin Naik.
