CURCHOREM: PWD minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the “Govan” Multi-product processing centre supported through CSR funds by Goa Shipyard Limited at Electricity department quarters Pontemol- Curchorem.
PWD minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the second “Govan” Multi-product processing centre at the electricity department quarters Pontemol- Curchorem on Tuesday.
The PWD minister said that this centre will help our local farmers to sell their products in this centre and later process them.
While speaking about the “Govan” Multi-product processing unit in Pali, he said with the help of this centre, local farmers and women will get very active, and day by day, the production increases, which is helping local farmers and local women to get benefit out of this centre.
Further, he said local women should take motivation and understand the importance of the Pali centre because it helps the local farmers and women to become self-sustainable.
“Today we find it very difficult to get organic things in market, but today this Govan Multi-product unit can give authentic organic material which is local and hand made product of Goan’s,” he said.
PWD minister Nilesh Cabral, chief engineer of department Stephen Fernandes, SE South Goa electricity department Rajiv Samant, Curchorem Cacora municipality chairperson Vishwas Sawant, chief officer of Curchorem Cacora municipality Manohar Karekar, Xeldem Zila panchayat member Siddharth Desai and other dignitaries were present.
