The police claim that on October 2, an ANC detective discovered cocaine and ecstasy valued at Rs 4.60 lakhs, and they apprehended a Nigerian national.
On October 4, the ANC detained the Cameroonian national as a follow-up measure. Promise Isaac Umeh, the defendant, was purportedly discovered in possession of ganja, cocaine, methamphetamine, and charas.
However, police reported that it was discovered during the accused’s interrogation that the owner of the residence where he was residing had not complied with legal requirements, including police verification and C-form formalities.
In order to launch legal action against the landlord for neglecting to conduct a police verification of the renter under suspicion, the ANC has turned in its report and complaint to the Mapusa Police Station. It was also discovered that the accused did not have a valid visa and was residing in Goa.
