MARGAO: Carmona Sports Cub blank Guirdolim club 2-0 to enter into the quarterfinals of the All Goa Navelim Villagers Trophy organised by the Navelim Villagers Union and played at Rosary Church ground Navelim on Friday.
Carmona SC scored two goals full-time. One goal in each session of play.
In the first half Carmona SC Edvil Afonso in the 9th minute of play and were leading 1-0 at half time.
In the second session, Guirdolim tried to control the game and were near to finding an equaliser but Aldrich Peixeto, Seldon Peixoto and Victor Fernandes missed in the 35th, 40th and 46th minutes of play then goalkeeper Carmona took a long ranger shoot which was well collected by Dezwin dias and ran down and beat the three players and also the Guirdolim goalkeeper Alwyn Faria and placed the ball in the open net in the 50th minutes of play and in the dying minutes Guirdolim Velentinho carvalho shot missed the target by whiskers.
Dezwin Dias of Carmona Sports Club got the man of the match in the hands of Salu Zidan Fernandes.
