FATORDA: Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today has written to the Chief Secretary (CS) urging him to take immediate action on corruption that has surfaced in the recruitment process for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts at the South Goa Collectorate
“I write to bring to your attention a blatant instance of corruption that has surfaced in the recruitment process for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts at the South Goa Collectorate,” said Sardesai.
He further said that serious allegations have been raised regarding a “cash for jobs” scam, wherein bribes were solicited in exchange for government jobs.
Vijai said that the recruitment process for LDC posts at the South Goa Collectorate has been marred by corruption. Allegedly, cash was demanded from candidates in exchange for jobs that should have gone to deserving and qualified individuals, many of whom come from economically weaker sections of society.
“The unusually long delay in the entire recruitment process, especially in declaring the results, raises further suspicion of malpractice. This delay has allowed time for such corrupt practices to take place, and immediate action is necessary to prevent further manipulation of the recruitment process,” he added.
MLA has also strongly urged you to immediately scrap the ongoing recruitment process for LDC posts at the South Goa Collectorate.
“An immediate and thorough investigation must be conducted into the “cash for jobs” scam. This investigation should focus on identifying all individuals involved in soliciting and accepting bribes and manipulating the results, as well as ensuring that all guilty parties are held accountable,” he added.
