COLVA: Colva Police have registered a case against an Instagram account holder for allegedly accessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in electronic form and failing to report the offence to the authorities.
According to the state complaint filed by PSI Anil Krishna of Colva Police Station, the alleged incident occurred on March 4, 2026, at around 9:09 am and 2:39 pm.
Police alleged that the accused, through an Instagram account, downloaded, viewed or transmitted electronic material depicting children engaged in sexual acts in a manner that could offend a reasonable adult. The complaint further states that the accused failed to report the matter to the competent authorities, as required under the law.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by Police Inspector Videsh Shirodkar of Colva Police Station.
