Panaji: Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao has urged all the 40 MLA’s of Goa to unanimously resolve to oppose the coal handling and storage in Goa.
Churchill said he would table the resolution in the ensuing Assembly Session.
On his absence for Opinion Day function, Alemao said that the organisers had in the past had called him last time but did not allow him to speak.
“This time they did not call me and instead called my party president. Secondly I had already booked ticket to go for Valankani. Some people are trying to simply defame me on this issue by making confusion,” he said.
Alemao also said that he has taken up lot of developmental work in Benaulim constituency.
“I have solved the water problem of Benaulim, 14 bed health centre to be built in Benaulim with full facilities, 2 parking project to be built one in Colva and one at Benaulim. Nearly 13 cr sanctioned to clean and built the Colva creek besides 25 cr road widening and beautification work in progress at Khareband,” he said.
