VAGATOR: Anjuna Police have registered an offence against the owner/manager of M/s Clara Goa, Vagator, for allegedly violating noise pollution norms by playing music beyond the permissible time and sound limit.
The case was registered on September 9 following an email received from the Goa State Pollution Control Board and a complaint lodged by PSI Sahil V. Warang of Anjuna Police Station.
According to the complaint, the violation occurred between 10 pm and 11 pm on September 8, 2026, at Clara Goa, where the sound level was recorded at 79.6 decibels (dB).
Police said the establishment was found playing music beyond the permissible time and limit, allegedly causing noise pollution in the locality.
Anjuna Police have registered the case under provisions of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, and the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.
The investigation is being conducted by PSI Sahil V. Warang.
