PANAJI: The Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured House that the draft coastal zone management plan will not be finalized till everyone is taken into confidence.
replying to the private member resolution, Sawant said that as pointed out by some MLAs, if fishermen community were not taken into confidence last time and hence that they can send their suggestions through panchayat and same will be taken into confidence.
Earlier speaking, Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral said the public hearing held on CZMP is been challenged before the High Court by a fishermen association.
He said that the plan submitted by 105 panchayat will be examined and incorporated and the plan will be put on website again for public.
Moving the resolution, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte pointed out that the suggestion given by him and others are not incorporated.
