PANAJI: The misunderstanding between the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has been sorted out, said BJP State president Sadanand Shet Tanawade.
Tanawade, speaking to reporters, said that a meeting was held yesterday to sort out differences.
“BJP national president Amit Shaha has spoken to both the leaders and the issue has been sorted,” he said.
Asked whether there will be any change in portfolios as per rumours.
“I told you the issue ahs been sorted and as such no minister would be dropped nor there would any reshuffle of portfolios,” he stated.
It may be noted that health minister Vishwajit Rane was not present in the meeting called by CM to take stalk of situation in GMC yesterday. The social media and public at large had reacted sharply to the widening of differences between chief minister and home minister at the height of the Covid crisis.
Things seem to be going from bad to worse in Goa’s premium health institution, GMC where dozens of Covid patients deaths are recorded every day for the past several days.
What is alarming is that Chief Minister and health minister speak contradictory language as regards the issues plaguing the institution. CM Pramod Sawant says there is ample oxygen supply but due to mismanagement oxygen is not reaching the wards whereas Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane denies that there is mismanagement and underlines acute shortage of oxygen in GMC.
Rane claimed CM has been misguided by someone which has prompted him to blame it on mismanagement.
