Margao: Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant today inaugurated Swami Vivekanand Kendra set up at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
The Kendra set up by Directorate of Art and Culture aims to empower youths in the field of Yoga, personality development, spirituality, philanthropy, physical fitness, literature etc.
Chief Minister speaking on the occasion urged the youths to venture into self employment thereby fostering Swayampurna Goem movement in the State.
Chief Minister further reiterated Government’s commitment towards empowerment of youth thus initiating various projects and schemes for youths thereby generating employment opportunities.
Deputy Chief Minister, Manohar Azgaonkar in his address underlining the importance of time, it’s proper Management and utilisation appealed to the youths not to waste valuable days of their youth life and urged them to strive hard to achieve success in life.
Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao Damu Naik emphasized upon youths to transform their energy and strength into creative ideas in building the nation.
Prof. Anil Samant delivered the key note lecture on values and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
On the occassion youths of Goa who have excelled in various fields were felicitated by Chief Minister Dr. Sawant. The Programme was organised by Ravindra Bhavan, Margao in collaboration with Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs. Youths present for the function were informed regarding various schemes executed by the Economic Development Corporation in the State towards Upliftment of unemployed youths.
Director, Art and Culture, Sagun Velip, Joint Managing Director Carlos D’Sa, Assistant Director of Sports and Youths Affairs, Vivek Pawar, Member Secretary of Ravindra Bhavan Margao Prassanna Acharya were amongst those prominent persons present on the occassion.
