MARGAO: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has cautioned against the illegal transport of alcohol into and out of Goa, stating that no one should bring liquor from outside or take Goan alcohol illegally to other states.
Sawant said the government will take strict action against those involved in the illegal liquor trade, smuggling, or production of duplicate alcohol.
He emphasized that such activities not only harm Goa’s economy but also pose a serious risk to public health and the state’s image as a responsible tourism destination.
