AICC Goa desk in-charge Dinesh Gundu Rao today said that the party has to work hard to regain people’s trust.
Rao is on a two-day Goa visit to review the party’s ZP polls result. He had a meeting with Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar, Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat and other MLAs today.
Rao said that the main agenda before him is to review the party’s failure, regain people’s trust and to reorganize the party.
“Though we worked hard for the ZP election… our candidates work hard…we were expecting better results. We are introspecting so that we can take suitable measures in the future,” he said.
Rao said that the party’s defeat was a result of delay in holding the elections.
“ZP election was lost due to delay…we had no idea when the election is going to take place…on the other hand, BJP was aware…we had not time to campaign,” he said.
Talking about Girish Chodankar resignation, Rao said that the decision will be taken by the party high command.
