PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) Tourism Department are working on the project to identify and map all the libraries, religious sites and museums in the state.

He further said that Goa is taking unprecedented, progressive steps in the implementation of PM Gati Shakti program – to create the Cultural Atlas, a list of all festivals, events and fairs will be identified and marked on a GIS map.
“The Cultural Atlas will inform and educate all of us in cross-cultural attitudes, practices, norms, communications and entrepreneurial skills,” he added.
Nagpur-based project management and GIS consultant for government bodies M/s Kolbro Group has been appointed by Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) to do GIS mapping of urban properties.
The official said that some properties are underutilized or not utilized at all while some have been encroached upon.
A former councilor of the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) said that during her tenure she had tried to ensure that properties belonging to CCP are listed properly and leases examined periodically.
