Cyber Crime Cell received a complaint by 2 lady victims regarding a fake profile being created on Instagram where their morphed and obscene photo was uploaded.
Acting immediately, Cyber Crime Cell registered an FIR u/s 67 IT Act and initiated investigation. Upon technical analysis accused Lysander s/o Luis Monteiro r/o Taleigao was identified and arrested by team led by PSI Devendra Pingle.
Cyber Crime Cell advises everyone to not interact with unknown persons online without verification and keep social media profiles in private mode.
This is the 4th such case worked out by Cyber Crime Cell in last one month.
