MANDREM: The decomposed body of a 46-year-old man was found floating in a well at Mandrem in Pernem, Goa, on Tuesday morning.
According to police, information about a male body floating in a well was received through a phone call from LPSI Sonali Harmalkar at around 10.33 am on October 13.
Upon observing the body, police noted that it was in an advanced state of decomposition. The deceased was subsequently identified by his brother, Pralhad Mandrekar, as his younger brother, Pradesh alias Pramod Manjrekar, aged 46, a resident of House No. 79, Askavado, Mandrem, Pernem, Goa.
Following a discussion with the Police Inspector of Mandrem Police Station, an unnatural death case (UD No. 43/2026) was registered under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
Further investigation into the incident is being conducted by LPSI Sonali Harmalkar. The circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be established.
