CUNCOLIM: Leader of Opposition (LoP) Yuri Alemao reacting to Lok Sabha election results today said that Congress will definitely win the 2027 Goa State Assembly elections.
“Congress will definitely win the 2027 Goa State Assembly elections; I am confident that Congress will win 30 seats. Cuncolim voters gave the highest lead for Congress in Lok Sabha polls,” said Alemao.
He further said that money and muscle power have failed in Goa and attempts made to destabilise the Congress have also failed.
“BJP tried to divide the voters based on caste and religion but that too failed. Divisive politics in Goa has been shown the door,” he added.
Alemao also said that Congress was always confident that the South Goa Lok Sabha seat would be retained and the overall picture of the country has not looked good for the BJP.
He said that Cuncolim has given one of the highest leads for Congress in Lok Sabha polls which is almost 5 and half thousand votes.
“No wonder this is the biggest festival of democracy. INDIA alliance has shown that Goans cannot be divided on religious lines. This is a slap on their face.” he added
Yuri also thanked the people of Goa for the massive victory.
