PERNEM: Mandrem Police have registered a case following the theft of approximately ₹40,000 in cash from the donation box at Shree Dev Ajoba Devasthan at Talwada, Keri, Pernem.
According to the complaint filed by 66-year-old Shrikant Ramkrishna Talkar, the theft took place before 7.45 am on September 10, 2026. An unknown person allegedly broke open the lock of the donation box (fund petti), which was kept in the open premises of the temple, and stole the cash inside.
The incident was reported to police at around 8.41 pm on September 10.
Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of Investigating Officer LPSI Sonali Harmalkar of Mandrem Police Station.
