Green activists and Goa Foundation director Claude Alvares today urged the center to refrain from doing favoritism by considering the views of only the mining operators and not giving due hearing to the views of Goans in the mining matter. Centre should call and hear Goans too said Claude. “Don’t do favouritism by hearing only mining operators,” he added. State got only Rs 3,000 crore revenue in last ten years and mine operators earned Rs 30,000 crore during the period, he lamented.
