PERNEM: In a shocking incident four fake Rs 500 notes were given to an attendant by a four wheeler rider after purchasing Rs 2,000 worth fuel at a petrol pump on the National Highway at Dhargal, Pernem.
The counterfeit notes had ‘Children Bank of India’ written on them. As per the police complaint filed at the Pernem Police station, the notes were accepted by the attendant without proper checking as they were given by the vehicle owner during rush hours at the petrol pump.
The matter came to light at night when the attendant was handing over the day’s collection to his superiors.
Police are investigating the matter with the help of CCTV footage. Such these fake notes of Children’s Bank of India have been doing the rounds across the nation since 2018.
The polls could have been conducted in three or four phases, not 77 days definitely. The current schedule would halt most government work until at least June 4.
