VASCO: Vasco Police have registered a case following a complaint by a woman alleging that an unknown person created and circulated a forged electronic poster featuring her image alongside that of a minister.
According to the complaint, the incident took place on September 19, 2026, at TNK, Vasco. The alleged fake poster/document contained congratulatory messages claiming that the complainant and the minister were legally married.
Police said the electronic content was allegedly created and circulated as genuine on various social media handles with the intention of harming the complainant’s reputation.
A case has been registered at Vasco Police Station under Sections 336(4), 340(2), 356(2) and 356(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Suresh Velip of Vasco Police Station.
