CANACONA: In a glaring case of official negligence, a tap reportedly left open by an unidentified PWD (Water Supply) staffer caused extensive flooding in the Canacona Dy. Collectorate complex over the weekend.
The incident came to light on Monday morning when staff reporting for duty found the ground and first floors of the complex inundated with water. The Zonal Agriculture Office (ZAO), the Deputy Collector’s office, and other departments were affected, with water even seen cascading down the staircase from the PWD office on the second floor.
