ANJUNA: Anjuna Police registered an offence vide Anjuna PS Crime No. 95/2025 under Section 7(1) and 7(3)(iii) of the Foreigners Order, 1948, and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946 based on the state complaint filed by PSI Saish S. Shetgaonkar of Anjuna Police Station.
As per the complaint, on June 23, 2025, at around 00:30 hrs, the accused, identified as Uche Joy Okafor (age 40), a Nigerian national residing at Morjim, Pernem, Goa, was found illegally staying in Goa/India near Baga Bridge, Bardez, without possessing valid travel documents. This act constitutes a violation of the aforementioned provisions under the Foreigners Order and the Foreigners Act.
Accordingly, the accused has been served a notice under Section 35(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, directing her to produce valid travel documents.
