PANJIM: Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) declared the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2019 results today.
DTE declared the results in which Adiya Bhat topped in Physics with 59 marks, Sairaj Ghosavardekar secured the highest in Chemistry with 70 marks and Swatit Valaulikar securing the highest in Maths with 73 marks. All the papers carried a maximum of 75 marks.
GCET 2021 was conducted in three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Maths, by DTE on July 29 and 30 across 16 centres in the State. 2935 candidates had registered for Physics and Chemistry of which 2829 candidates appeared for Physics and 2810 appeared for Chemistry. Of the 2129 registered for Mathematics, 2,033 candidates appeared.
GCET Chairman V.N. Shet informed that the GCET 2021 was conducted and the results were prepared in collaboration with IIT, Bombay. He said that the results have been evaluated and processed using electronic Objective Response Sheet (ORS) technology.
Informing about the admission process to professional courses, he said that admissions to BE and BPharm courses shall be based on GCET scores, whereas admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, AHS, Nursing and BVSc&AH courses shall be made on the basis of NEET (UG) 2019 conducted by CBSE. And admissions to BArch shall be based on NATA.
