PANAJI: The Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA), in partnership with PTC India Limited, will host a day-long State-Level Stakeholder Consultation on the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY) on September 24 in Panaji.
The consultation, being organised under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s City Accelerator Programme (CAP), will be held from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
The event will bring together vendors, bankers, GEDA as the state nodal agency, the Goa Electricity Department, representatives of urban local bodies, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), consumers and state government officials.
The consultation will review the progress of the PM Surya Ghar scheme in Goa and discuss measures to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar across the state.
According to GEDA, Goa’s residential rooftop solar installation base has increased from 1,249 installations in November 2025 to 3,802 installations as of September 2026. The total installed residential rooftop solar capacity has reached 31.24 MW.
The day-long programme will also include recognition of top-performing vendors and bankers for their contribution to the implementation of the scheme.
The consultation will conclude with a joint statement outlining action points for continued coordination among stakeholders and further expansion of rooftop solar adoption in Goa.
