BAMBOLIM: In a recent directive, Goa Medical College (GMC) announced that its casualty department will henceforth attend only to emergency cases.
The decision, aimed at streamlining patient care and reducing overcrowding, will be implemented immediately.
Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMC, emphasized the urgency of the move, stating that the unwanted crowd will no longer be entertained in the casualty department.
This measure comes as part of broader efforts to enhance efficiency and ensure timely medical attention for critical patients.
The administration urges the public to seek appropriate healthcare facilities for non-emergency cases and adhere to the new guidelines for the casualty services.
