Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday responded to allegations raised by Leader of Opposition Vijai Sardesai regarding alleged prostitution and drug activities operating under police protection, asserting that such matters are being treated with seriousness.
Sawant said that law enforcement agencies have been directed to take strict and immediate action whenever any such incidents come to light. He emphasised that no complaints or inputs related to illegal activities would be ignored.
The Chief Minister added that police authorities are already working to curb unlawful operations across the state and reiterated that repeated violations will not be tolerated.
