PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today laid the foundation stone new Old Goa police station building.
“The new building will be ready in one year as Old Goa will be hosting the exposition,” said Sawant
Cumbarjua MLA Rajesh Faldessai had said that the Old Goa police station could be a thing of the past as he said that in the next month and a half, work on a new building for the police station would be taken up.
MLA Faldessai had said that the file for the same has already been approved and work on the police station should begin within the next month and a half.
“All necessary approvals, including from the Central authorities, have been sought for the construction of a new building for the police station which would be a ground plus one structure,” the MLA had informed.
“A proper building for the Old Goa police station is the need of the hour as daily around 8,000 tourists visit Old Goa and they should be given better services when it comes to their security,” Faldessai opined.
