PANAJI: Hours after Opposition Goa Forward Party president Vijai Sardesai posted a letter to the Central government, which said the DPR copies of Karnataka were shared with the State long back, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has shot back, saying the Fatorda MLA is only interested in playing politics over Mhadei issue.
In a scathing post on social media, Sawant slammed Vijai Sardesai for a lack of knowledge of the issue.
CM also claimed that the letter Vijai was pointing to was about the old DPR, which was rejected by Centre.
“Dear Bab Vijai Sardesai, your lack of understanding about the Mhadei subject has been exposed here. This is an old DPR of 2020, which was not considered. Only if you attend important meetings such as the one scheduled today, you could gain more knowledge about the subject,” CM said in his post.
CM said Sardesai, instead of learning is more interested in playing political mischief.
“But it seems, all that you are interested in is playing political mischief. You have no interest of Goa at heart. Don’t try to mislead the people and other members of the opposition for your own political benefit,” he said.
Sawant further said that Govt. Of Goa is clear on its stand on the Mhadei River water and committed to the welfare of the people of Goa.
