PANAJI: Crime Branch police team intercepted a Maruti Omni vehicle bearing No.GA-09-D-4278 at Dharbandora-Savordem Junction and caught red-handed two persons namely (1) Bhujang @ Bala s/o Ganapat Khatvkar, age- 32 years, r/o 1083/8, Guddomal, Savordem, Goa and (2) Talak age 35 years, c/o Baptist, Guddomol, Savordem, Goa, who were found carrying illegal explosives i.e. 06 boxes containing in it 1200 Gelatin sticks, weighing 150 Kg and six buddles containing in it 300 electronic detonator.
A FIR Cr. No. 97/ 2023 u/Sec 286 r/w 34 IPC, Sec 5 of the explosives substance act has been registered and the accused arrested. On interrogation, the accused revealed that they brought these explosives without valid licenses to use in quarry work. Further investigation is in progress with the crime branch
