PANAJI: The government of Goa has co-opted four members to a monitoring committee in order to draft the state’s heritage policy.
The Director of the Museum, the Representative from the Department of Marine Archaeology at the National Institute of Oceanography, the Representative from the Department of Geology at Goa University, and the Herpetologist Nirmal Kulkarni are among the co-opted members.
The monitoring committee will provide input for the Heritage Policy, oversee and closely examine the text of the Heritage Policy, and assess criticisms and recommendations on the Heritage Policy that are made by the general public and specialists in the field.
