PANAJI: The State government has declared Ram Navami as a public holiday starting 2024.
The state government has released the updated list of holidays for the year 2024, in which Ram Navami was included.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai had earlier demanded that ‘Ram Navami’ be declared a public holiday.
“Using gods and goddesses to achieve selfish, political and personal ends has become a ploy of BJP, that the god fearing people of Goa will expose and reject with contempt,” Sardesai had said.
