PANAJI: The state government has notified the Goa Staff Selection Commission(Amendment) Act, 2023 (Goa Act 41 of 2023), which allows government departments to complete the pending recruitments to group C posts by Oct 31.
The date of August 31 had been stated in an earlier decree. Prior to January 8, 2022, some Goa government departments had published job advertisements for subordinate positions; however, the examination and selection process to fill the positions had not yet been finished.
Previously, these departments had until August 31 to finish the selection process. The same is currently extended to October 31.
“Provided that where advertisements for filling up of the sub-ordinate services/posts were issued prior to the 8th day of January, 2022, the concerned Department may conduct examination and complete the selection process of such sub-ordinate services/posts not later than the 31st day of October, 2023,” reads the notification.
