PANAJI: The Government of Goa, in principle, has approved the proposal to increase the rate of remuneration of Drivers and Bus Attendants/Cleaners working for the Balrath buses provided to Aided High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools and Special Schools, from the month of June, 2023.
The details of increase in the rate of remuneration are as follows:
“Increase in the monthly remuneration to be paid to the Balrath Drivers from Rs.12,000/- to Rs. 17,000/- per month. Increase in the monthly remuneration to be paid to the Balrath Attendants/Cleaners from Rs.6,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- per month. The payment to Drivers & Attendants/Cleaners shall be made through their Bank
Account,” the circular of Directorate of Education says.
All the Government Aided Institutions, availing the benefits of the Balrath buses are hereby instructed to pay the salaries to their Balrath Drivers and Attendants as per the increased rates for the academic year 2023-24 le. from the month of October, 2023, alongwith the arrears from June, 2023 till date, before the eve of Diwali.
The funds amounting to Rs. 4.17 lakhs per bus are already transferred to all the concerned schools and the balance amount will be released soon, the circular read.
