PANJIM: The state government has decided to waive off 50 % tuition fees Gymkhana fees & Cultural fees for the current academic admission for all colleges under Directorate of Higher Education.
“In view of the ongoing pandemic & prevailing extraordinarily difficult circumstances, Govt has taken the decision to waive off 50% of Tuition fees, Gymkhana fees & Cultural fees for the current academic admission in all colleges under the purview of Directorate of Higher Education Goa,” said CM Sawant
He further said that the government has not taken any decision regarding re-opening of schools in the state.
Reiterating that the govt has asked for permission to the center to reduce the gap between two doses of covid vaccine for teachers.
Sawant said that all the teachers and school staff will be vaccinated before reopening of schools.
Citing example of Kerala where third wave of covid has already hit, CM said we will wait for some time before taking a decision to reopen schools.
