PANAJI: Goa has earned national recognition as the Best Performing Small State in Pre-Authorisation Approval Turnaround Time (TAT) under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY for the financial year 2025–26, highlighting its efficient and citizen-focused healthcare delivery.
The achievement reflects the state’s emphasis on accessible, affordable, and transparent medical services. With as many as 12,991 pre-authorisation cases processed swiftly, Goa has demonstrated how streamlined systems and responsive governance can significantly benefit patients.
The recognition also underscores the government’s commitment to the principle of inclusive development, ensuring timely and quality healthcare reaches even the most vulnerable sections of society.
The award was received on behalf of the state by Yetindra Maralkar, Secretary (Health) and CEO of AB PM-JAY Goa, along with Dikshita Borkar.
Officials credited the success to the collective efforts of doctors, nurses, healthcare staff, administrators, and frontline workers who continue to strengthen the state’s healthcare ecosystem.
Launched under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Ayushman Bharat has emerged as a key initiative aimed at expanding healthcare access and financial protection for millions across the country. Goa has reaffirmed its commitment to further enhancing service delivery with speed, compassion, and efficiency.
