MAPUSA: Mapusa police have arrested one person for committing housebreaking and theft.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, Sheshishekhar Shivanand Patil, aged 31 years R/o Dhuler, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa N/o Bijapur, Karnataka, has been arrested for committing theft at Jolly Hotel, Dhuler, Mapusa.
Kissan Narayan Shetkey R/o Mala, Panaji, Tiswadi, Goa owner of Jolly Hotel located behind Chapel, Dhuler, Mapusa, Bardez, Goa, had lodged his complaint that on the intervening night of 07-08/06/2023, some unknown accused person break opened the lock installed on the Complainant’s business outlet and decamped with valuable items from the Complainant’s business premises.
In this connection, Mapusa Police Station registered FIR under sections 454, 457, and 380 IPC.
During the investigation constituted, the team of staff led by PSI Viraj Kprgaonkar, HC Sushant Chopdekar, PC Vinay Hiroji, Sidh Kambli, Nitesh Naik and Rajat Waradkar, all of Mapusa Police Station.
The team, after getting information through human and technical surveillance, identified the accused and, after hectic efforts, intercepted Sheshi Shekhar Shivanand Patil.
The four-wheel spanner used for breaking the lock and stolen property has been recovered from the instance of the accused.
Further Investigation is in progress under the supervision of SP North Shivendu Bhushan, IPS.
