QUEPEM: Quepem police have registered a case against four named persons and six unidentified labourers for allegedly damaging a house, stealing iron materials and threatening a woman and her family members at Assolda in Quepem.
According to the complaint lodged by a woman resident of Assolda, the incident occurred on October 12, 2023, at around 9.10 am.
The complainant alleged that the accused, identified as Rosario Fernandes, Pascoal Fernandes, Joao Manuel Fernandes and Roman Fernandes, along with six unidentified labourers, acting with common intention, damaged the tiled flooring of her house veranda, the outer wall and the iron sheets and iron tubes covering the house.
The accused allegedly used a cutter to cut the iron sheets and tubes before removing and stealing the materials.
When the complainant questioned them about their actions, the accused allegedly abused her in filthy language and threatened her and her family members with dire consequences, including death threats.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Harish Naik of Quepem police station.
