MAPUSA: Colvale Police has arrested one person for sending obscene photographs to one minor girl.
The complaint was lodged by the mother of the victim girl on 18/06/2023, wherein she alleged that on the pretext of befriending her daughter on Instagram, one person sent her obscene photographs and demanded the same from her.
In this connection, SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi supervised the investigation, and the accused person Abhishek Sawant, age 40 yrs, R/o Pirna, Bardez – Goa, was immediately apprehended.
The accused person has been arrested under sections 354-A, 354-B IPC and Section 8 of the Goa Children’s Act and is presently in police custody.
Further investigation is underway with LPSI Sonam Verenkar under the supervision of SP North Nidhin Valsan, IPS and SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi.
