MAPUSA: The Colvale Police has arrested a wanted accused from Chicalim on Tuesday.
Police said they reliably learnt from ‘Tofkhana Police Station, Maharashtra that one
accused by the name Yuvraj@Sonya Kotkar age 23 yrs / o Ahmadnagar Maharashtra has kidnapped one minor girl aged 16 yrs r / o
Ahmadnagar is suspected to be presently residing in the Colvale area.
On receipt above information, under the supervision of Nidhin Valson SP (N), Porvorim, Jivba Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa and Vijay Rane, PI Colvale PS, the team of Colvale Police station consisting of PSI Kunal Naik, Constable Sandeep Malik and other staff combed the Colvale area and after making meticulous efforts apprehended accused Yuvraj Kotkar in Chicalim and rescued the kidnapped girl.
The accused and the kidnapped girl were further handed over to PSI Balasab Shinde, and staff of Anti human Traffic Unit Ahmadnagar.
