MAPUSA: Mapusa Police have booked one teacher of a Higher Secondary School under stringent sections of the POCSO Act and Children’s Act Goa.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi, a complaint was received from the management of one Higher Secondary School in North Goa complaining that one male teacher has been staring, asking for phone numbers with minor student girls and touching inappropriately and further also making a gesture towards them.
Upon receipt of the complaint FIR under sections 509, 354-A, 354-D, Section 8 of the Goa Children Act, and Section 8, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences have been registered.
Further investigation is in progress.
