PANAJI: Goa witnessed its highest single-day spike in the number of Covid-19 cases on Thursday with 2293 persons testing positive, taking the tally of active cases in the state to 13689, according to state Health Ministry data.
658 persons were cured on today while there were 24 death’s reported today a bulletin issued by the Health Ministry said.
As per DHS bulletin, 7 death’s at SGDH and 17 death were reported at GMC.
There are 7 patients who expired in less than 24 hours and common to all of them is that they were symptomatic for a minimum of 3 days. The youngest who expired was 25 years old and was symptomatic for 10 days prior to the day of death.
Among the death’s at GMC, a death reported in the surgical unit was a case of road traffic accident with severe head injury in whom the covid test done was positive. The actual cause of death is awaited after the post mortem of this MLC case.
Meanwhile, total Doses Administered as of today is 296477 of which 233866 have taken first dose while 62611 took their second dose. Meanwhile 4077 were vaccinted today till 6.30pm.
