CANACONA: Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly and MLA Canacona Ramesh Tawadkar attended the official opening of the 66th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Ghana on Wednesday.
The CPC is hosted by the Parliament of Ghana and the CPA Ghana Branch in Accra, Ghana, at Accra International Conference Centre between 30th September to 5th October 2023.
During the 66th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar had a fruitful meeting with Rt. Honourable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana and President of CPA, CPA Vice-Patron and President of the Republic of Ghana HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and CPA Executive Committee.
The 66th CPC under the theme of ‘The Commonwealth Charter 10 years on Values and Principles for Parliaments to Uphold’. 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Commonwealth Charter which outlines the principles and values of the Commonwealth.
Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, accompanied by his Wife Savita Tawadkar is attending the CPC at Ghana in Africa.
