CURCHOREM: Goa team finished 6th in all India 10th sub-junior Tong – il Moo-do Association of India championship by getting 15 medals.
Tong – il Moo-do Association of Goa participated in the All India 10th sub-junior Tong – il Moo-do Association competition held at Telangana- Hyderabad, where Goa sub-junior secured sixth place.
The team was welcomed by Curchorem Cacora municipality councillor Pramod Naik and the participant’s parents at Curchorem-Sanvordem railway station.
Team manager Seby Fernandes said that it’s a proud feeling for our association, state, parents, and schools.
Further, he said that hard work and commitment towards sports and parents’ motivation paid off to bring medals and respect to our state.
Fernandes added that this Goa sub-junior category team got a total of 15 medals, 6 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Students who participated in the competition have three different categories.
Cyrus Fernades, age 14. Kata 1 gold, Spparing 1 bronze,(School Guardian Angel High School, Curchorem),
Velosh D’Costa age 10 kata 1 gold, Spparing 1 gold and team event 1 gold
(Guardian angel primary school Curchorem), Sweedon Dias age 8 kata 2 silver, sparing 1 silver and team event 1 silver ( guardian angel primary school Curchorem), Abhirag Naik age 9 kata 1 bronze.
Team kata 1 gold medal (Guardian Angel Primary School, Curchorem), Tarunnakshtra Naik Age 14. kata 1 bronze medal (School Manovikas High School, Margao, Vidhi Verelekar age 9 years, medal Sparing 1 gold, kata 1 silver,
(Trinity Primary school Curtorim), Youngest participant Garg Shirodkar age 7 kata – 1 silver medal 1 bronze medal in team kata (Trinity primary school Curtorim).
