Panaji: The Goa University Badminton Men’s and Women’s Team selection trials for the 2026 to 27 West Zone Inter University Badminton Championships have been rescheduled to September 23, 2026.
The trials will be conducted from 10 am at the S.A.G. Multipurpose Indoor Stadium at Peddem, Mapusa. Interested and eligible students are required to report at the venue by 9:30 am in full playing kit.
Participants must wear non marking shoes during the selection trials. Colleges have been asked to ensure that all eligible and interested badminton players are informed about the revised schedule and venue.
The selected Goa University Women’s Badminton Team will represent the university at the West Zone Inter University Badminton Women’s Championship 2026 to 27. The tournament is scheduled to take place at CHARUSAT University in Gujarat from October 29 to November 2, 2026.
The selected men’s team will compete in the West Zone Inter University Badminton Men’s Championship 2026 to 27. The men’s championship is scheduled to be held at Lords University in Alwar, Rajasthan, from January 2 to 6, 2027.
Students who are unable to attend the selection trials on September 23 have been advised to inform the Sports Section of Goa University through sports@unigoa.ac.in, along with the reason for their absence.
Such cases may be considered separately by the Selection Committee, subject to its decision.
