PANAJI: Goa Women Forward today have written to the National Commission for Women against the brutality on women at Shel-Melauli on the direction of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
Addressing the media, Ashma Sayed said that the attack on women was nothing less than attempt to murder by Sawant led government.
“Have written to NCW Chairperson with regards to Goa Police’s brutality on women at the directions of Dr PramodbSawant at Shel-Melauli in Goa,” said Ashma
She further said that the police force placed to ensure safety, protection and law and order chose to ignore their duties and responsibility and exercised a show of brutality and abuse against the women and children present at the protest site.
She added, “Images and videos of the
show of brutality from the Goa Police are making viral rounds across social media platforms,”
